Since ages, Varanasi is thought to be the last pilgrimage destination. Situated on the banks of the holy river Ganga, Varanasi, is such a place in India, which is visited by lots of tourists from all over the world. Vindhyachal is said to be the home of Goddess Durga (Goddess of power). It is a sacred pilgrimage destination for Hindus, and is also known for its beautiful natural surroundings.

Chandraprabha Wildlife Sanctuary, almost 70 km southeast of Varanasi, is known for its impressive collections of chinkara and panther and approximately 150 species of birds. Even though, it is one of the lesser known sanctuaries in the country, still it filled with beautiful picnic spots, dense forests, and scenic waterfalls like Rajdari and Devdari, attracting a large number of tourists. Spread over an area of 78 sq. km of land in the Chandauli district, it possesses a rich flora and fauna.
Chunar Fort, is about 40 km from Varanasi. Saint Bhartrihari took live Samadhi in the fort. It offers a splendid view of the Ganga River. It is ascribed to one of the greatest warrior – rulers, Sher Shah Suri. Sonwa Mandap, Sun clock and a huge well are some of the attractions inside the fort.
Sarnath, about 10 km from Varanasi, is the famous place where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after getting enlightenment. It is also known for a number of monuments and edifices ranging from the Ashoka period to the 12th century.
